In the summer of 2023, I was accepted into the Brown University Pre-College program. For two weeks, I lived on-campus at Brown and studied Biomimicy: Innovation Inspired by Nature. My final project was the design for an eco-friendly line of swimsuits that use the scale structure of the trout to reduce wear and tear and are made from a faux-plastic that mimics the properties of enzymatic decomposition. The program prepared me for college life and broadened my design skills to incorporate the natural sciences as well.
